Here are the answers to a few of the questions we get asked a lot.
I live outside of Chicago. Am I eligible?
Sorry. We hope some day to include the Chicagoland area, but we can’t do that yet.
I won an award another year. Am I eligible this year?
Absolutely! We very much hope you’ll give us the opportunity to look at your garden again.
Who can enter a community garden?
Any member of a community garden may enter the garden. However, if the rest of your garden members don’t like what you entered, that’s your problem, not ours.
When do I enter?
Online entries begin on May 1st and end on June 30th.
Who judges the gardens?
The CEGA judges are primarily Master Gardeners, although there are a few highly knowledgeable and experienced judges who are not part of that program.
